Environment and Sustainability
In the past uPVC has been one of the worst products that have impacted the environment, but for the last 15 years things have slowly been changing, uPVC windows and doors are now mostly made from recycled material, any old uPVC windows and doors are now broken down with all materials removed and can be remoulded into new windows and doors.
All uPVC windows and doors have a lifespan of 30 years or more with the correct maintenance. This makes them much more sustainable and much more cost effective compared to timber doors and windows as they require much more maintenance which means the use of oil based paint and stains which will only ever slow down the decay of timber windows and doors and they’ll need to be replaced within less than 30 years.
